When building a beauty or cosmetics line it is important to have access to a good quality logo. With the help of some of these top tips you can enjoy getting ideal support for your Cosmetics and beauty line. With so much competition in the beauty and cosmetics world, it can be very difficult to compete. By following our top design tips it is possible to put together one of the best new brands for your beauty and cosmetics line. Here are some of the best new tips for producing a quality cosmetics logo

Build something simple A cosmetics logo is going to be something that you will find on packaging and across your storefront/promotional designs. Remember that your logo is going to have a wide scalability and it must easily fit in with nearly any type of product for the future. Work on your presentation and consider how the logo will look on a variety of different spaces for your brand. Consider how iconic the symbols for Nike and Chanel have become. There is no longer even a need to write the business name underneath as everyone has recognition for the brand. With this type of simple design for your cosmetics logo you can get access to a quality logo or emblem that can be synonymous with your beauty brand. This type of synonymous relationship with your symbols can have a profound effect on the future of your brand.

Using the right colors many cosmetics brands use colors to portray various feelings about their cosmetics lines and their products. Creating a great logo and using the right colors in your logo design can be an excellent way to grab attention for your products as well as convey various feelings about your product design.

Convey a need for your product an eye-catching design that calls out to the consumer is absolutely appropriate for a cosmetics line. Using energetic colors, text and symbols as this can be an excellent way that you can convey the need for a particular product. Using your cosmetics logo as a call to action is a great idea. Using a design that incorporates elements of different colors and immediacy for various symbols is crucial to building a brand that can truly shock and excite. Keeping these types of emotions in mind can also help you with showcasing some of your most vibrant cosmetics. If you have a lush red lipstick or a very bright color eyeshadow you could consider conveying this excitement with an electric product design.

Know your audience by building symbols or colors that reach your audience directly can be another excellent idea. Consider it the audience that you are intentionally marketing a beauty product or cosmetics product to. Remember the age group for the particular brands that you wanted to create. Building a brand around an exciting color like orange can be a great way that you can appeal to youthful individuals or to reach out to people that are seeking bright cosmetics. Using understated colors can be a perfect way that you could appeal to professionals or perhaps even older individuals seeking out beauty and cosmetic products.

Consider incorporating your brand and your logo design

some of the most innovative cosmetics companies incorporate their brand directly into the product design or packaging design. Some make up companies even create compacts and beauty products which are entirely housed in packaging that resembles their logo. Using this type of creative expression can really create a lasting effect for your brand and for your packaging design.

Keep some of these top ideas in mind for your cosmetics or beauty logo design process.

Vintage Style Logo Trends that have refused to go away

Vintage logos seem to be the craze in the creative market at the moment. We are seeing more and more of hipster, retro, and vintage logo collections as many designers and clients tend to lover their simplicity and effectiveness in connecting with the target audience. Though you may have thought that time was up for this kind of logo design, it is one of the trending designs that most designers now prefer. Here are some vintage logo trends that are not just strong at the moment but have been around for a while and it seems that they have refused to go away-:

Badges vintage logos

Badges lie at the very heart of the concept of vintage logo design. These designs feature simple shapes that can be stamped virtually on anything. You will find most of the vintage badge logos in different shapes, but mostly they will be in oval, circle, triangle, shields, and diamonds.

These kinds of logs won’t just take you back to the ages before the digital world caught up with the design industry, but also, they are simple to work with, and the fact that they look pleasant in a variety of shapes adds a lot of design versatility for designers who prefer to use these vintage logos.

Hand Drawn Vintage Logos

Handmade logos are currently a hot trend in the logo design industry because they offer simplicity graced with an authenticity that is not easily achieveable with other forms of logo design styles. Similarly, in the vintage logo design world, the adoption of hand drawn vintage logos seems to be on the rise for similar reasons as the handmade logos in the world of digital graphics design.

These logos are aesthetically appealing, and they display great artistic talent which makes them be of overall good quality. Though most of the hand drawn vintage logo designs may appear to be more masculine, they offer great results in a wide variety of applications including being used in the beauty industry.

Industrial Logos

A trip back to the mid 20th century will reveal to you logo designs that never had gradients, shadows or never rendered in three dimensions, but still they were effective in making bold visual statements. Most of the graphical symbols or icon in such logos included wrenches, axes, hammers, and factories.

All these were synonymous with the industrial revolution even though the world is now more tech savvy than it was back then a good number of designers are adopting the industrial vintage logo design to create uniqueness and a sense of authenticity that the digital world has never experienced.

Land and Sea Logo Designs

With most of the vintage logo designs, it is common to find animals with antlers such as deer, elk, and moose featured in the logos. As a matter of fact, the presence of an antler used to signify that the logo was indeed of the vintage category. Similarly, land and sea features such as tents, mountains, trees, etc were common features of such vintage logos.

You are also likely to see anchors, fish, and ropes as the main graphical elements in most of the vintage logos featuring the sea. With the benefits of advanced technology and improved graphics design methodologies, such land and logo sees are finding their way back into the mainstream design, though with the same symbols given smoother and better graphical representation.

Logos on Photos

A look at logos made ten years ago is likely to reveal that most of them had photos at the background. Most of the modern and robust designs however feature colorful, bright and complex internet logos with sophisticated backgrounds and gradients.

But while this is happening, the lovers of vintage logos have crafted ways of using monotones overlaid on top of great photography to generate fantastic looks. This method will make any logo look great especially if the picture on the background is relevant to the theme and the design of the logo.

Line Art Vintage Logos

It is always amazing to observe how current logo design trends change how vintage graphics work. Back in the days when skeuomorphism used to be the trend, vintage logos used heavy textures and sometimes ink brushes.

But presently, flat design is the reigning trend, and vintage logos haven’t left behind either. Vintage logo designers are now using thin lines with greatly simplified illustration in conformity with the trend while still managing to create awesome vintage logos.

Use your intuition

Whereas there is a lot more going on with the trends in vintage logo design, it is not a rule of thumb that you adapt your logo design to such trends. If anything, using trends when designing your logo can be a very dangerous practice since trends will come and go but your logo will be required to stand the test of time. Therefore, use the trends but ultimately, rely on your intuition and design principles to come up with rock solid vintage logo designs.

5 Luxury Brand Logos

A luxury brand logo is a sure-fire way to get someone’s attention.

Some of the worlds most desirable designer brands and luxury brands have instantly recognizable logos because they are portrayed in mainstream culture as royal.

These are luxury brands that have made themselves known in the media, in film, in print advertisements and more.

They often come with specialty logos that enhance the brand and make people want to use these luxury products even more.

Here are some of the top luxury brand logos that have been around for years that people continue to appreciate to this day.

Use these examples in the creation of your own luxury brand logos:

Rolls Royce:

The luxury auto maker Rolls Royce has their luxury logo on the front of every Rolls Royce vehicle.

The symbol has been named many things over the years.

You may have heard of the small sculpture which sits on the front of these vehicles as “Emily”, “The Spirit of Ecstasy”, “ The silver lady”, or more.

The original version of this sculpted symbol was created by a famous English sculptor.

These same objects are still handcrafted and make their way to the front of Rolls Royce vehicles.

The model was Eleanor Velasco Thorton who was the woman who was sculpted by auto pioneer John Walter Edward Douglas Scott-Montagu.

This means that the luxury symbol not only showcases freedom and wealth but also an intense love and passion.

The same passion that many people feel for their Rolls Royce Vehicle.

Chanel:

Chanel and its interlocking C’s are some of the most famous luxury logo icons we have today.

Not only does this image often pop up at fashion shows, in the mainstream media, at awards shows, and in designer stores, but we see them regularly in advertising.

Between Chanel perfume and the clothing that the company produces, there is always brand recognition when it comes to this beautiful logo.

It has a deep history as well.

The logo design was crafted by Coco Chanel in the year 1925 and has continued to be used by the company completely unchanged up to this day.

Some think that the logo is inspired by interlocking Cs that can be found at the Chateau Cremat, whereas others think inspiration was taken from Renaissance interlocking medallions.

One thing is for sure, this is a highly recognizable logo with a deep history.

Louis Vuitton:

The Louis Vuitton Monogram is coveted as a motif for fashion gurus and it can be found on a variety of designer luggage, fashion items, handbags and more.

The original motif print was designed as a specialty monogram logo to stop counterfeiting attempts.

While other styles of luggage are easier to counterfeit, the Flower motif, which is Japanese inspired, came out in 1896 and is still used to this day.

The designer branding uses a damier or French checkerboard pattern with brown and beige squares in a pattern.

This look created not only an iconic look for fashion, but it serves as the company’s main logo as well.

This is an extremely recognizable luxury brand.

Rolex:

The Rolex crown is one of the most iconic symbols in the entire world of watches.

The Rolex crown can often be found at events, on the watches themselves, as well as in a variety of advertising.

It is a fairly subtle logo, but when you see a real Rolex or the advertising, you will definitely be interested to learn more.

The Rolex logo has a deep history and it is also fairly simple.

The main goal of the Rolex crown was to use it as an extension of the main slogan.

The Rolex’s slogan at one time stated there was “A crown for every achievement”.

The use of the crown in the logo stuck.

Since the year 1903, the brand has been using this logo in all of its marketing and on its watches.

The crown symbolizes the precision and prestige for a watch worth celebrating.

This could be the reason why Rolex watches are often given out to winning athletes.

Ralph Lauren:

From Ralph Lauren perfume and cologne to quality fashion items, this symbol is heavily showcased.

The Polo by Ralph Lauren collection features famous fashion items and promotes an active lifestyle.

The launch of this brand, however, actually started with a line of swimsuits for women.

These 1970’s swimsuits were built for women but tailored in a designer style for men.

This is the first time this logo was used on an item.

The full polo emblem made its way to fashion items just two years later and has remained unchanged since.

The Polo from Ralph Lauren logo is the embodiment of luxury, style, an active lifestyle, and pure elegance.
